Carbine Hooks

Carbine hooks (also called "Snap Hooks") provide a highly convenient and very strong end-termination for elastic shock cord. They feature a spring loaded gate which allows them to be quickly and securely attached to a wide range of fixing points. For attachment instructions, please see our Joining and Fixing page.

We supply three sizes of carbine hook in zinc-plated mild steel:-

Small Carbine Hooks (for 6-8mm cord)
Length (internal): 49mm
Width (max. internal): 18mm
Steel width: 6mm
Maximum gate opening: 7mm

Medium Carbine Hooks (for 8-10mm cord)
Length (internal): 66mm
Width (max. internal): 22mm
Steel width: 8mm

Large Carbine Hooks (for 12-14mm cord)

Cord Clamps

Cord clamps are of two-piece, zinc-plated, mild steel construction. The two lengths of cord to be joined are slipped between the two halves of the clamp which are then tightened together using the nuts provided to make an extremely strong union. They are adjustable and re-useable.

 

We supply two sizes of cord clamps in zinc-plated mild steel:-
